Wedding photography in Ghent and across Belgium
Your wedding day is a string of meaningful moments. Big gestures and quiet glances. Laughter, emotion, chaos and love. I capture it all the way it feels, so you can relive it later.

Calm and attentive
Editorial
With an eye for composition and light, and a small prompt where it helps. Timeless images, like a magazine.
Unhurried
You live your day. I move along with it and make room for a calm portrait moment. There I guide you, with a small tip on posing where needed, so you feel at ease.
Light and detail
From soft window light to a small touch: the details make your story personal.
How it works
Your date
Tell me when and where you’re getting married. I’ll check whether your date is still available.
Getting to know each other
We meet up, in person or online, and see if it clicks. You tell me what matters to you. If it does, a 25% deposit secures your date.
The plans
We go through the timing together. I think along, so you don’t have to miss a thing.
Your day
You enjoy it. I move along in the background and capture the moments.
First images
A small selection to savour and share with your people.
The whole story
You receive the full gallery. A story to keep reliving together.

“Bert was there all day, but it never felt like it. Completely invisible to us, and yet he managed to capture every moment!”
Good to know
hello@bertvde.beHow far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 8–14 months ahead. Summer Saturdays fill up fastest. Getting in touch early helps.
When do we receive our photos?
A preview within 5 days. The full gallery follows within 1–2 months, often sooner depending on the season, and stays online for at least 6 months.
Can we ask for specific photos?
Yes. Share a short list of must-haves, especially family combinations. The rest I keep documentary, so your day stays its own story.
We don’t like being photographed. Is that a problem?
Not at all, I hear that from almost every couple. I rarely ask you to pose and mostly follow what happens. For the portraits I give a few small cues; the rest comes naturally. The couple portraits themselves take 20 to 40 minutes.
What if it rains?
Then we adapt: umbrellas, wet cobblestones and soft grey light. Rain has never ruined a wedding day for me.
Do you work with a second photographer?
That’s up to you. A second photographer is a lovely extra: two pairs of eyes show your day from two perspectives, like both of you getting ready at the same time. I mainly recommend it for a big wedding with lots of guests. You can add a second photographer by the hour.
Can we see a full wedding gallery?
Of course. The portfolio shows the highlights; a full gallery shows how I tell a whole day. Just ask and I’ll send you one or more.
Can we order an album later?
Yes, while your gallery is active. A wedding album for 50–100 photos, in a colour of your choice; the price is available on request. I share my selection for feedback before printing. The Book package includes a 25×25 cm wedding album.
Can we combine photo and film?
I work with a trusted videographer. Film is booked separately from the photography; prices are available on request.

Is your date still available?
Leave your date and venue, and within a few days you’ll hear whether I can be there. We’ll discover the rest together.
